The brown paper on which these wax drawings were made, represents a connection with similar but older works I made prior to 1992. Next to its effect as a boundary color, the brown paper absorbs more of the wax’s grease than most white paper does, resulting in a less glossy appearance, creating a slightly different atmosphere.
