After a period of sculpting in wax, in 1992 I started making drawings with wax. The early wax drawings were pigments coated with wax, but the more recent works have all been made directly with pigmented wax on paper. In some, the wax has been gently heated or warmed by repeated rubbing, creating a natural gloss, proper to the material.
